Claude Code development

By · Updated

Short answer

PunkSolid delivers software using Claude Code for agentic edits when it fits the task, with senior engineers owning architecture, security, and release decisions in Cursor. Clients receive the full source repository and optional 1:1 Cursor coaching. PunkSolid is not affiliated with Anthropic; Claude and Claude Code are Anthropic trademarks used nominatively.

Non-affiliation: PunkSolid is not affiliated with Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic; we refer to them only to explain how we work.

Claude Code development is a delivery style, not a separate product line. PunkSolid assigns agentic editing to Claude Code when repository layout, task shape, or team preference warrants it, while senior engineers retain architecture and release authority—often still inside Cursor for unified review.

When clients ask for Claude Code

Teams request Claude Code explicitly when they already standardized on Anthropic tooling, when long-context refactors fit Claude’s strengths, or when they want parity with internal experiments. We still require specs, tests on critical flows, and human approval before production deploys—the same gates described in methodology.

Compare tooling neutrally in Claude Code vs Cursor and Claude Code tutorial before the kickoff call.

What we build

This service wraps the same outcomes as website development, web app development, and custom software development—the difference is how agentic edits are executed, not whether you receive code. Migrations may still cite the healthcare WordPress rebuilds case study: eight sites, 1,000–6,000 pages each, rebuilt with tracking parity and PageSpeed lab scores rising to about 92–98, with Core Web Vitals passing in Search Console about four days after launch.

We have rebuilt nine sites in client and network work with full code handoff.

Review and safety

Agent output is treated as untrusted until reviewed. We look for injection risks, leaky secrets, missing auth checks, and dependency drift—patterns we also document in AI code review. Spec-driven development keeps acceptance criteria visible when multiple agents touch the same module.

Cursor is a trademark of Anysphere, Inc.; we use it nominatively alongside Claude Code.

Licensing and handoff

You must hold appropriate Claude Code and Cursor licenses for your organization; we do not resell vendor seats. Handoff includes git repositories and written agent guidance so your team can continue without us, under the same code ownership model as every PunkSolid delivery.

Optional 1:1 Cursor coaching remains available even when Claude Code handled part of delivery—we coach maintainers, not vendor sales.

Next steps

Need rescue on an agent-generated repo? See vibe code to production. Ready to scope delivery? Use contact with repository access policies and deadlines.

Collaboration with your team

We can work in your GitHub organization, your self-hosted git, or a transitional fork—whatever your security policy allows. Commit messages and pull request descriptions should remain legible to humans who do not use agents daily. We set expectations early on which directories are agent-eligible and which require human-only edits (payments, PHI, production config).

Coaching overlap

Optional 1:1 Cursor coaching still applies when Claude Code generated portions of the tree. Coaching is tailored per client; we do not publish a fixed curriculum or session count here. Non-technical owners and senior developers can share the same engagement with different goals.

Commerce and named proof

One ecommerce property we may name in other materials is 48vproducts.com, rebuilt from WordPress into the storefront in this monorepo; before/after sales figures for that project await owner publication. Healthcare migration proof remains on healthcare WordPress rebuilds. We cite nine sites rebuilt total with repository handoff.

Deliverable clarity

You receive working code, not exclusive access to a proprietary agent. Vendor subscriptions remain your responsibility. Our non-affiliation with Anthropic and Anysphere stands regardless of which agent touched a given file.

Documentation expectations

Handoff repos include how to reproduce builds, run agents safely, and escalate when model output conflicts with types. We prefer short ADRs for contentious architecture choices so future reviewers understand why Claude Code or Cursor was chosen for a module.

Mixed-agent workflows

Teams may run Claude Code for long refactors and Cursor for day-to-day merges. We document conventions so the same lint and test commands run regardless of which tool opened the pull request. That reduces thrash when your staff rotates between vendors.

If your legal team requires model-usage policies, we align commit and chat retention practices during kickoff rather than retrofit them before launch.

Executive readouts during delivery focus on merged scope, open risks, and redirect or auth checkpoints—not vanity velocity charts. That cadence keeps Claude Code acceleration visible without hiding what still needs human sign-off.

Start scoping through contact when your team knows which repositories and review policies apply.

How it works

  1. Tooling fit

We decide which tasks run in Claude Code versus Cursor based on repo layout, test harness, and your team's licenses.

  2. Spec and implement

Work proceeds from written acceptance criteria with human review on every merge that touches auth, payments, or PII.

  3. Verify

Type checks, link scans, and agreed tests run in CI. Migration work includes redirect and metadata parity when URLs change.

  4. Hand off

You receive repositories, agent guidance, and optional coaching—not a hosted-only deliverable.
